A Brief History

General

The Frankford Radio Club has its origins around 1927 in the Frankford High School, in Philadelphia, PA. The member area of FRC is a 175-mile circle centered on Southeast PA that includes locations from Syracuse to Chincoteague, from darn near Pittsburgh to the darn near Montauk Point. Since the beginning, FRC members have pursued operating and technical excellence in pursuit of dominance in the sport of Amateur Radio Contesting. Often at the top of the Club Competitions of the major DX contests, our members count such luminaries as W2GD, W3BGN, N3RS, AA1K and K3WW. FRC has a very active email list for its members.
